Der Patronage von Frauen im byzantisischen Reich war eine Tagung gewidmet, deren Erkenntnisse hiermit vorgelegt werden. Die Beiträge umfassen den gesamten Berich der neuen oder erneuerten Gründung und Stiftung von Kirchen und Klöstern, aber auch deren reiche Ausstattung, sowie zahlreichere kleine Stiftungen.
