Kreativität – einst Kernforderung der (künstlerischen) Gesellschaftskritik – scheint heute nicht mehr als ein omnipräsenter gesellschaftlicher Imperativ zu sein. Ihr emanzipatorisches Potenzial wurde verspielt zugunsten einer strategischen Verwertung durch Politik und Wirtschaft, so der allgemeine Vorwurf. Vor diesem Hintergrund thematisiert der Band das facettenreiche Verhältnis von Kreativität und Kritik.
