Der Band, der aus einer internationalen Tagung gleichen Namens hervorgeht, vereinigt verschiedene disziplinäre und interdisziplinäre Perspektiven auf das Thema der gotischen und anderen germanischen Einfälle ins Römische Reich, besonders im 3. Jahrhundert n. Chr., das durch die neuen Fragmente aus dem verlorenen Werk Skythika des antiken Historikers Dexippos von Athen, die sog.
