description The Nako temple complex with its earliest structures dating back to the 11th century is an extraordinary testimony of early Tibetan Buddhism not anymore preserved in today’s Tibet. Endangered by the rough environment, improper treatment and frequent earthquakes, the outstanding monuments were re-discovered by scholars from Austrian universities in the 1980s. The transdisciplinary research project carried out over more than 20 years led to in-depth studies, preservation and model-like conservation of the temples and their artworks.

2021-02-10T12:58:18Z 2016-12-31 23:55:55 2020-01-28 13:07:16 2020-04-01T13:55:33Z 2010 book 620577 OCN: 1013967609 http://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/31970 9783205202677 https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34202 eng open access image/jpeg image/jpeg image/jpeg image/jpeg image/jpeg image/jpeg https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/31970/1/620577.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/31970/1/620577.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/31970/1/620577.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/31970/1/620577.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/31970/1/620577.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/31970/1/620577.pdf Böhlau 10.26530/oapen_620577 10.26530/oapen_620577 Austrian Science Fund 26ae1657-c58f-4f1d-a392-585ee75c293e 9783205202677 Austrian Science Fund (FWF) Böhlau 378 PUB 315 open access
