Gianluca P. Parolin deed vijf jaar lang onderzoek naar burgerschap in het Midden-Oosten. In dit boek plaatst de auteur dit begrip in een breder juridisch perspectief naar de maatstaven van de complexe realiteit van nationaliteit en burgerschap.
