| description | Navigating Borders into the Netherlands provides a unique in-depth look at human smuggling processes. Based on biographical interviews with smuggled migrants in the Netherlands, the study reveals considerable differences that exist in smuggling's underlying causes, how journeys evolve, and outcomes of the process. This research from an insider's perspective clearly demonstrates that smuggled migrants are not passive actors, there is a broad variety in types of smugglers, and interactions between migrants and smugglers largely determine how the smuggling process evolves. |

2021-02-10T12:58:18Z 2010-12-31 23:55:55 2019-12-10 14:46:32 2020-04-01T15:35:51Z 2007 book 340140 OCN: 144617042 647791977 http://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35195 9789053569306 https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/38090 eng IMISCoe Dissertations open access image/jpeg image/jpeg image/jpeg image/jpeg n/a n/a n/a n/a https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/35195/1/340140.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/35195/1/340140.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/35195/1/340140.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/35195/1/340140.pdf Amsterdam University Press 10.5117/9789053569306 10.5117/9789053569306 de2ecbe7-1037-4e96-8c3a-5a842d921e04 9789053569306 214 open access |
