Die Privatbibliothek Kaiser Franz' 1., die spätere Habsburg- Lothringische Fideikommissbibliothek, gilt als ein hervorragendes Beispiel einer herrschaftlichen Buch- und Grafiksammlung, die in ihren Beständen weitgehend erhalten geblieben ist und heute von der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek verwaltet wird.
