Zunächst werden die adressierten bestechungsbedingten Manipulationen sportlicher Wettbewerbe phänomenologisch systematisiert und in Ausmaß und Ursachen beschrieben. Der aus Rechtsgutslehre und Verhältnismäßigkeitsgrundsatz abgeleitete Prüfungsmaßstab erfordert sodann eine kritische Befassung mit dem Gehalt der durch den Gesetzgeber zum Schutzgut erklärten Integrität des Sports, eine Analyse der Deliktsstrukturen sowie eine Bewertung der Effektivität außerstrafrechtlicher, insbesondere sportinterner Präventions- und Schutzmaßnahmen.
