Das 1142 gegründete Augustiner Chorherrenstift Neustift verwahrt heute 92 mittelalterliche Handschriften; diese wurden von einem interdisziplinären Expertenteam nach den Richtlinien der österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften erstmalig umfassend erschlossen. Der sämtliche kodikologische Aspekte berücksichtigende Katalog wird ergänzt durch eine umfangreiche Einleitung, Register und Anhänge.
