Nachgegangen wird der Frage, in welcher Zeit und aus welchen Gründen sich die indirekte Kommunikation in Frankreich als Habitus herausgebildet und verfestigt hat. Gezeigt wird, wie die Literatur über die Kunst des Impliziten nachdenkt und welche Rolle diese Kunst in der kulturellen Ausnahmestellung (‚exception culturelle‘) Frankreichs in Europa einnimmt, die das Land sich seit Jahrhunderten zugute hält. Anhand von herausragenden Beispielen der französischen Literatur vom 16. bis zum 21. Jahrhundert werden die Reflexionen über die indirekte Form des Sprechen analysiert. Das Buch ist aus einer mehrfach gehaltenen Vorlesung zur Frage der Interkulturalität in der deutsch-französischen Begegnung hervorgegangen. Es gehört in die Rubrik einer interkulturellen Literaturgeschichte. |
