Summary:This book aims to study the History of the University of Girona from 1561, when the first stone was laid, until 1717, the year in which it was transferred to Cervera. After a preliminary contextualization study, a factitious Chronicle is presented, which collects almost all the news of the University Life that were found in the Municipal Documents of the City of Girona, and that were not found in the book that J.B. Torroella dedicated to the University. The book concludes with two appendices: one studies the evolution of rent payments after the transfer of the University to Cervera and the other is a table of the University Professors.
