Daseinsthemen alter Menschen werden im Kontext unterschiedlicher Lebenswelten betrachtet: unterschiedliche Sozialschichten, unterschiedliche Wohnkontexte, unterschiedliche Grade von Selbstständigkeit bilden zentrale Komponenten der differenzierten Lebenswelten. Dabei zeigt sich, wie wichtig der erlebte Aufgabencharakter des Lebens sowie die Erfahrung, von anderen gebraucht zu werden, für Zufriedenheit und Sinnerleben sind. Zudem werden Risikofaktoren für Lebenszufriedenheit aufgezeigt: zu diesen zählen vor allem Isolation und ausgeprägter Pflegebedarf.
