Die Berliner Bildungshistoriker geben mit ihren Analysen erstmals eine historiographisch fundierte und systematisch grundierte Geschichte der Entwicklung und des Status der wissenschaftlichen Pädagogik der DDR. Sie wird nicht mehr allein ideologiepolitisch und -kritisch als Erfüllungsgehilfin der SED-Bildungspolitik interpretiert, sondern in ihrer eigenen Praxis als ein System differenter Wissensformen umfassend analysiert.
