Encinas. Ezequiel Urviola, Julián Palacios, Manual A. Quiroga who developed the vanguard of legal indigenism in the 20th century. |

Published En el presente artículo se exalta la contribución que tuvo Francisco Chukiwamca Ayulo en el Indigenismo Jurídico que se gestó en los años 1910 y 1920 en el sur del Perú. Dicha contribución hizo que se repensará en ese momento la condición socio-jurídica del indígena a fin de poder conseguir un reconocimiento legal y la debida protección en nuestra legislación nacional. Francisco Chukiwanca no sólo demostró con su comportamiento y su realización social la defensa cerrada a favor del indígena, sino que su anticlericalismo, como su postura política de izquierda, hicieron de él un respetado abogado a favor de las reivindicaciones por los derechos indígenas, convirtiéndose en el más preclaro representante del Indigenismo Jurídico de aquél tiempo, al lado de personalidades como José A.
