Published Różnorodność podejść do zagadnienia przesilenia, zarówno jako pojęcia wymagającego normatywnych i nienormatywnych konceptualizacji, jak i doświadczanego w różnych kontekstach zjawiska społecznego, pokazuje bogactwo pedagogicznej refleksji rozwijanej w niniejszym tomie tekstów. Postawę wszystkich autorów można określić mianem „trzymania ręki na pulsie” wydarzeń, których waga jest trudna do przecenienia z punktu widzenia zachowania przez jednostki i wspólnoty tych wartości, które czynią nas wewnętrznie lepszymi, a świat wokół nas bezpieczniejszym i bardziej przyjaznym. Pedagodzy i pedagożki nie mogą być obojętni wobec różnych aspektów przesilenia, gdyż niesie ono istotne konsekwencje dla edukacji jako części kultury. Badają na gruncie nauki zmiany, które zachodzą, a także zabierają głos w kwestiach istotnych z punktu widzenia troski o człowieka, o jego wszechstronny rozwój oraz o zachowanie jego godności.
