Als Vorschlag zur Berücksichtigung von Care-Arbeit im Schweizer Zivilrecht wird in der vorliegenden Dissertation das Institut der Verantwortungsgemeinschaft vorgestellt. Diese hat zum Zweck, finanzielle Sicherheiten für Care-Arbeit leistende Personen zu garantieren. Sofern die Voraussetzungen für die Entstehung einer Verantwortungsgemeinschaft erfüllt sind, bietet diese finanzielle Sicherheiten in Form eines (nach)gemeinschaftlichen Unterhaltsanspruchs und der erbrechtlichen Berücksichtigung von Care-Arbeit. Leben die Care-Arbeit leistende und die durch die Care-Arbeit begünstigte Person zusammen, ist auch die gemeinschaftliche Wohnung geschützt.
