description Education policy has a significant impact on how kindergartens, schools and other educational institutions are run. In working with these institutions, it is interesting to study how power is legitimized and managed. How to Study Education Policy: Texts, Theories and Approaches presents a range of academic and methodological strategies for studying this field. In addition to nuanced academic subject traditions, the authors present qualitative and comparative approaches to document studies and expert interviews. The anthology provides a number of examples of different ways of carrying out studies, including digital and practice-based analyses. It addresses questions about the role of theory and how research is best reported. A central theme is the importance of evidence and expertise in education policy and reform work, a field that the authors have explored through the POLNET project (Policy Knowledge and Lesson Drawing in Nordic School Reform in an Era of International Comparison). This book will be of interest to academics, experts in the field, education students, teacher educators and public sector employees.

This book will be of interest to academics, experts in the field, education students, teacher educators and public sector employees. 2024-10-25T04:02:51Z 2024-10-25T04:02:51Z 2024-10-24T14:58:19Z 2024 book https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/93957 9788202848392 9788202848583 9788202848576 9788202848590 https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/146451 swe Norwegian BokmÃ¥l open access image/jpeg Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/93957/1/Hvordan_studere_utdanningspolitikk.pdf Cappelen Damm Akademisk/NOASP (Nordic Open Access Scholarly Publishing) 10.23865/noasp.215 10.23865/noasp.215 9266f8a8-a49e-4697-9bd1-69645f9037c2 The Research Council of Norway 653d2d4b-02e3-4790-b630-3fb1da5ee3ae 9788202848392 9788202848583 9788202848576 9788202848590 263 Oslo Policy Knowledge and Lesson Drawing in Nordic School Reform in an Era of International Comparison open access
