| Zusammenfassung: | Student engagement and participation are factors of particular importance for the educational field, due to their relationship with the processes of permanence in school, the use of learning opportunities and the achievement of academic goals. This research aims to investigate how these two factors were possibly affected during the implementation of ICT mediated classes during the pandemic in 2020, which emerged as a learning methodology due to the fact that the pandemic forced the different spaces of social interaction and academic institutions to enter confinement. among them universities, where students through virtual platforms received the information of their classes from a computer at home, with multiple distractions such as the use of electronic devices, home situations and even the performance of domestic activities. The possibility of researching these changes in the educational context from the experience of those who are living this process, including students, can facilitate the recognition of the characteristics of their experience in virtual environments and their relationship with the tools used, which allow discovering opportunities that develop a strategic planning of educational communication. |
