In the context of the German welfare state, the largest migrant population of people of Turkish origin can draw on the transnational space Germany-Turkey for their old-age provision. This qualitative empirical study shows that the development of a transnational old-age provision strategy depends on the social situation of the respondents, and that the knowledge of options for old-age provision is socially distributed. |
