Die im Deutschen Sozialstaat größte Migrantenpopulation der Türkeistämmigen kann in ihrer Altersvorsorge auf den etablierten transnationalen Raum Deutschland-Türkei zurückgreifen. Für die zukünftige Sicherung im Alter planen transnational orientierte Altersvorsorgeakteurinnen und -akteure mit grenzüberschreitenden Ressourcen, auch ohne die dauerhafte Anwesenheit an einem Ort. In der qualitativen empirischen Studie zeigt sich, dass die Entwicklung einer transnationalen Altersvorsorgestrategie abhängig ist von der sozialen Lage der Befragten. Diese nutzen wohlfahrtsstaatliche und privatwirtschaftliche Gelegenheitsstrukturen für Ressourcentransfers, um eine drohende Altersarmut in Deutschland abzuwenden.
