Description
Résumé:The third monograph in the entrepreneurship series presents the collaborative research of the academic staff of the Department of Management and management students at Lublin University of Technology. This publication explores the social aspects of creating entrepreneurial organizations, which differ from managerial organizations in their structure, characteristics, decision-making processes, human resource management approaches, and methods of resource gathering and allocation. Managerial organizations are based on hierarchy, centralization of decisions, focus on efficiency and formalized procedures. Entrepreneurial organizations, on the other hand, foster and motivate the creation and implementation of creative ideas by team members. The foundations of the concept of organizational entrepreneurship include innovation, risk-taking, proactiveness, aggressive competitiveness, and autonomy. Entrepreneurial organizations are growth-oriented, focused on pursuing and exploiting both endogenous and exogenous opportunities, enabling them to operate effectively in turbulent environments. Leaders play a crucial role in fostering intrapreneurship, with their creativity, team-building skills, and change management capabilities shaping organizations that are adaptable and capable of seizing new opportunities. The chapters of the monograph present research findings on intrapreneurship across various types of organizations. The first chapter discusses the concept of the entrepreneurial university and academic entrepreneurship. The specific challenges of entrepreneurial management in small businesses are explored in the second chapter. Chapter three examines the role of empathy in shaping organizational awareness. The fourth chapter provides a comparative assessment of leadership styles within local government, enterprises, and banks. Chapter five investigates persuasive strategies in selected advertising messages. Chapter six, focused on entrepreneurship in sports, identifies key success factors for selected football clubs. The impact of remote work on employee organizational identification is analyzed in chapter seven. Entrepreneurial management aspects at Microsoft are reviewed in chapter eight, and chapter nine presents the path from personal entrepreneurship to entrepreneurial management at Lotte Wedel. The monograph provides a multi-faceted view of the process of creating entrepreneurial organisations, emphasising the role of leadership, innovation and adaptability as key success factors.
