| Sumari: | This reprint describes the latest achievements in advanced biomaterials and coatings used for human body hard tissue regeneration and repair. Leading scientific experts provide new insights into the field, including the development of innovative processes to produce new biomaterials or bioactive coatings on bone implants. Several synthesis methods are described, including dip coating, 3D printing, powder synthesis, sol–gel, spray pyrolysis, precipitation, extrusion, injection molding, electrophoresis, and plasma spraying. These methods are used to produce innovative biocompatible and bioactive materials, such as biopolymers, bioactive glasses, and bioceramics. |
