| 總結: | The study of human gait is nothing new. Throughout history, various figures have been interested in understanding this mechanism, which, beyond physical movement, reflects characteristics such as personality, culture, and emotions, among other aspects. This book presents different perspectives on human gait, beginning with the effects that “putting ideas into motion” has on the mind. It reflects on social change in terms of distance and physical demands that affect the mental and emotional state of human beings. It also includes a psychological perspective on walking expressed in terms of the enjoyment of walking, which, on the one hand, is identified with some of the effects that walking produces, emphasizing health from a biopsychosocial perspective. On the other hand, it is interesting to observe the emotions that induce a subject to “get going.” Topics such as the history of gait analysis, the generalities of normal gait, arthrokinematics, technical aids used for walking, and finally a chapter addressing the instruments and techniques for evaluating pediatric neurological gait could not be left out. |
