Sumari:It addresses the energy crisis as a complex challenge with economic, social and environmental implications, focusing on the transformative role of Ecuadorian university students. Through a structured survey applied to 579 participants, the research analyzes perceptions, impacts and proposals regarding the energy crisis. The results highlight significant concerns about the rising cost of living, social inequality and energy infrastructure limitations, as well as a widespread recognition of the importance of renewable energy. However, gaps emerge in knowledge about specific strategies and access to clean technologies. The study highlights the potential of universities as platforms for energy literacy and technological innovation and underlines the need for public policies that drive the energy transition. The research concludes that university youth, through leadership and cross-sectoral cooperation, can play a crucial role in moving towards a sustainable, inclusive and resilient energy model. This work contributes to the understanding of the crisis and provides tools to foster change, highlighting education, social responsibility and collective action as key pillars.
