Zusammenfassung:This article presents a literature review on the impact of training on cocoa cultivation in the Playa de Muerto, Ecuador. It analyzes the effectiveness of educational strategies and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices in improving cocoa productivity and quality. Using a descriptive approach, advanced management techniques, such as pruning, shade control, adequate fertilization and integrated pest management, were identified and shown to increase yields and product quality. The results show that the training has enabled farmers to access high-value markets and strengthen the cocoa value chain, improving their bargaining power and diversifying their sources of income. The implementation of agroforestry practices has contributed to environmental sustainability, reducing the incidence of pests and preserving biodiversity. In addition, the role of training in sustainable socioeconomic development is highlighted, promoting the self-sufficiency of rural communities. It is recommended to continue with training, establish financial support programs and encourage the organization of producers to consolidate the achievements made. In conclusion, training in cocoa improvement is a key tool for promoting integral and sustainable development in the region.
