In a methodological pioneering effort in the Cultural Studies of DaFZ (German as a Foreign and Second Language), the pattern of meaning of freedom is pre-determined, and the discourse is explored in a targeted and criterion-based manner, with a focus on multimodal metaphors and topoi, incorporating context in a deductive approach.
