Sumari:The constantly growing list of recognised environmental associations and the ECJ ruling of 15 October 2015 have sparked a debate about the powers and legitimacy of environmental associations.The work looks at the national system of administrative law protection and the international and European legal requirements concerning the environmental association actions. A comparison with the defence of abuse in consumer law is used to draw conclusions for environmental law.
