| Sumari: | This publication brings together the contributions of national and international experts in social science teaching in relation to current learning models and the challenges in teacher training that must be progressively developed and expanded. This work reviews the new pedagogical trends that have been concretized in innovative and stimulating educational proposals. Furthermore, from a critical perspective, it examines the role played by different agents in teacher training, while delving into the treatment and development of social and civic competences as fundamental axes around which the training processes that aim to improve the quality and effectiveness linked to the teaching of social sciences are promoted. The breadth of this thematic spectrum opens up a whole range of lines of research whose main purpose is to effectively delve into the educational challenges that the educational community faces today. The contributions of the different authors have been grouped into six different themes: - Emerging technologies applied to the learning of Social Sciences. - Active learning resources and methods: proposals for innovation. - Heritage and primary sources in the teaching of Social Sciences. - Controversial topics and proposals from Social History. - Museums and other heritage centres of interest. - The teaching practice of the teaching staff of Social Sciences Didactics. |
