The qualitative interview study examines the subjective health theories of educational professionals from day care centres with children under three years of age. The author reconstructs the biographical, workplace-specific and lifeworld conditions that characterise the subjective health behaviour and understanding of the professionals. Her findings open up a view of the relationship between professional care and individual self-care strategies. The book thus provides a theoretical basis for developing preventative concepts for the training and further education of educational professionals. |
