Shrnutí:The authors address the societal, economic and political dimensions of the Poles’ emigration to Ireland, their settlement in the country and the subsequent integration process. Based on original, diverse and up-to-date sources (statistical data, original survey and interviews), they present the formation and life of the Polish community in Ireland, which has been among the most popular destinations of emigrants from Poland after the 2004 European Union accession. They also show how the migrants who return to Poland or function in a transnational space influence the social and political life of the country.
