Descripció
Sumari:Special and inclusive education is not feasible without an intrapsychic and interpersonal dimension. Mentalization-based pedagogy can contribute to promoting the emotional and social development of adolescents in elementary, school, social, and intensive educational settings. The ability to mentalize is considered an important facet of pedagogical and professional competence, as it forms the basis for successful relationships and contributes to self-regulation. Given the increasing consideration of mentalization theory in inclusion and special education, a volume that systematically addresses the topic is timely. Mentalization-based pedagogy should become compatible with the field of school-based inclusion and special education.
