| description | Our social interactions are driven by complex biopsychic processes that are complicated by the fact that humans are individuals and at the same time members of one or more social systems, such as schools. This book contributes to explaining the social mechanisms influencing students' “need to belong” fulfilment at school. The theoretical framework is informed by human needs understood as cognitive mechanisms of neural processes that regulate human behaviour and bio-values. The fieldwork was conducted in two secondary schools in Austria and Australia. Based on the findings, the transformative three-step approach suggests a course of action for student belonging. |

2022-07-13T04:02:37Z 2022-07-13T04:02:37Z 2022-07-12T09:24:04Z 2022 book OCN: 1334681953 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/57291 9783966650458 https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/87677 eng open access image/jpeg image/jpeg image/jpeg Attribution 4.0 International Attribution 4.0 International Attribution 4.0 International https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/57291/1/9783966659420.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/57291/1/9783966659420.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/57291/1/9783966659420.pdf Verlag Barbara Budrich Budrich Academic Press 10.3224/96665045 10.3224/96665045 d4b2aab6-f180-4fdf-9918-e8e7b91d0950 9783966650458 Budrich Academic Press 290 open access |
