Der vorliegende Sammelband widmet sich in drei Teilen dem schulischen Unterricht als einem Gegenstandsfeld Dokumentarischer Schulforschung. Im ersten Teil werden grundlagentheoretische Überlegungen angestellt sowie Schwerpunkte und Leerstellen des Forschungsfeldes herausgearbeitet, bevor in den weiteren beiden Teilen in empirischen Beiträgen Einblicke in aktuelle Forschungsprojekte gegeben werden. Während die Studien im zweiten Teil das Sprechen und Handeln im schulischen Unterricht selbst fokussieren, wird in den Studien im dritten Teil das Sprechen über bzw. in Bezug auf schulischen Unterricht untersucht. Dabei werden schulpädagogische, fachdidaktische und auch professionsbezogene Fragestellungen verhandelt.
