A phenomenon that affects sectors across the board. The "large resignations," have also affected, in part, personal services. Young people today express life plans that are less work-centered, and the traditional sequence: end of studies, acquisition of employment, independent living and creation of a new family unit is no longer as linear, no longer as fluid, perhaps not even as sought after: the pandemic has created a stasis, a suspension. So many have emerged from this condition by rethinking the role of work in their lives, downsizing it, because the center of their identity has shifted elsewhere. |
